In our Country House, guests can enjoy the beautiful nature that surrounds the area by trekking along the trails in the Umbrian Apennines. An experienced guide will lead you through the routes, one of the three exclusive trails starts directly from our Country House. Our guide will show you animals tracks on the way, including wolves, wild boars and foxes that live in our area. Trekking lovers will be surrounded by a unique and immaculate landscape, admiring unforgettable views from certain spots that are reachable on foot only.

Fonte al Noce Trail
Nerbisci – Pisciano Tour
This is a guided excursion departing and arriving to Fonte al Noce. Breathtaking view on the green hills, possibility on the way to see the breeding farms with wild boars and horses. The trail includes the view of the Bethlehem Monastery settlement, the visit in the pine forest with a detailed description of the landscape and fauna, the ruins of ancient peasants’ settlements. The lunch break is in pinewood, with a barbeque (explanation of fire lighting) including sausages and “crescia” (a typical Umbrian bread).

Madonna dei Monti
Dalla grande Abbazia nella valle, alla piccola chiesetta di montagna.
From the great Abbey in the valley to the small mountain church. The excursion starts from Camporeggiano (m 308) and it gradually goes up east to the left end of Lanna torrent, reaching the altitude of 657m in about 4 km. On the left side, you can see the ruins of an ancient castle: the castle of Camporeggiano (also known as Monte Cavallo), taking its name from the hill. The trail then turns to the left, in a north-west direction, in order to reach the small Madonna del Monte church (m 679), located in a unique position with a beautiful view of Monte Cucco and Monte Catria on one side, and on the hills surronding Montone on the other. The trail goes down and leads you to the river towards Val d'Assino.

Fonte al Noce Trail Tour of the two crosses
Guided excursion on the peaks in front of our Country House, in a spot where two crosses are clearly visible. Tour starting from Mocaiana, uphill to reach the first cross though a beautiful path in the woods and arrival in Petazzano. It follows a small stop to admire the breathtaking view, a path through the wonderful meadows to reach the second cross. Then the excursion goes back to Fonte al Noce hills, with olive trees and local farms.
